Boxabl Homes Are Officially Licensed And Rolling Out to Utah

Updated: Oct 22, 2023

Boxabl Casita

Utah residents are in for a treat as Boxabl Casita introduces its innovative housing solutions to the state. Boxabl has announced that they are now shipping two distinct versions of their homes to Utah:

  1. The Park Model RV ANSI-119.5, which boasts a sizeable 361 sq. ft. and is recognized as a member of RVIA.

  2. The Factory Built "aka modular" Residential Building Code Homes, also spanning an impressive 361 sq. ft.

One of the standout features of Boxabl Casita homes is their unique shipping mechanism. Designed to match the width of a standard vehicle, these homes can be transported down highways without the need for over-width and over-height permits. This innovation not only simplifies transportation but also results in significant cost savings.

But the marvel doesn't stop at transportation. Upon arrival, the 8.6 ft. x 19 ft. unit seamlessly "unfolds" into a spacious 19' x 19', 361 sq. ft. studio apartment or Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU). These homes come fully equipped with 9.6" high ceilings, 8ft doors, and essential appliances, encapsulating the essence of modern living in a compact space.

Moreover, Boxabl Casita homes are setting the standard for energy efficiency. Surpassing current energy codes, these homes promise low costs and high energy efficiency, making them a sustainable choice for homeowners.

With all these remarkable features, it's clear that Boxabl Casita homes are poised to be a game-changer in the Utah housing market.

Boxabl Ongoing Raise & Fighting Controversy

Boxabl has come under fire in recent months as the company has been slow to acquire the necessary permits in various states to sell their innovative homes. In an article published by Business Insider last month, the article noted that Boxabl "has not yet received the state-level certifications necessary to sell its homes anywhere in the country," a statement that is seemingly no longer true.

Despite this, the company continues to break records within the equity crowdfunding community. The company maxed out a $3.2 million Reg CF raise through DealMaker in just 9 hours. Boxabl is currently testing the waters in a Reg A round on StartEngine and already has more than $4 million reserved. Boxabl has an overall Hubtas quant score of 2.7, ranking it in the top 10% of startups raising through equity crowdfunding.
